You will depart Lusaka for South Luangwa – either by flight or take 10 hrs drive covering 730 km.

You will have several lodges as options like Croc Valley Camp (budget) or Flatdogs Camp (mid-budget)

South Luangwa is also popularly know the Valley of the Leopards and was the birth place of Walking Safaris – initiated by Norma Carr.

Here you will enjoy South Luangwa wildlife for 3 Nights and then travel to Chipata on a Friday in readiness of the N’cwala Ceremony procession.

N’cwala Ceremony is held to commerate the day when the Ngoni people under Zwangenda crossed the Zambezi in 1835. They were running away from tribal wars caused by Shaka the Zulu King. The crossing was near Feira, in Luangwa District of Zambia.

Croc Valley is situated on the Luangwa River overlooking the South Luangwa Park and 5 minutes away from the main gate.

Accommodation ranges from camping on the banks of the river to luxury tents on the Luangwa River.

We are very flexible and can accommodate anybody from groups to honeymoon couples.

Animals roam freely through our lodge and you can sip a gin and tonic and watch them cross the Luangwa River.

We offer game drives as well as walking safaris and many other activities.
