Zikomo Safari Camp – South Luangwa National Park – 2 nights – FB+

Zikomo Safari Camp is situated at the edge of the Nsefu sector and South Luangwa National Park. The area offers exceptional day and night game drives, as well as exciting walking safaris.

Zikomo Safari Camp offers nine handmade African chalets. Each chalet has an ensuite bathroom and overlooks the Luangwa River. There are two family sized chalets that sleep up to five and seven doubles.

All chalets have comfortable beds with drop down mosquito nets and plenty of privacy.

Mawimbi Bush Camp – alternate

Mawimbi Bush Camp is a tented camp situated at the riverbank of the beautiful Kafue River in the Kafue National Park in Western Zambia.

We have three luxury large canvas tents. Each has its own en-suite bathroom consisting of, ecological “green” toilet and a wash hand basin and a bucket shower that is supplied with hot water on demand.
All of the rooms are mosquito proofed, with two beds in the main area of the tent with a covered entrance verandah overlooking the river for perfect game viewing and relaxing.
The tent is tastefully furnished with all basic necessities and decorated in subtle African themes.

The Kafue River is perfect for canoeing, the main activity offered. Wilderness game walks and drives in the Kafue National Park are organized every morning and afternoon for those not braving the canoeing and are a must for all lovers of the African bush. Off course, there is an amazing bird life that awaits exploring as well as fishing from the riverbank.

Mfuwe Lodge – South Luangwa National Park – 3 nights – FB+

Mfuwe Lodge, situated in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park is renowned for its welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Our lodge provides the visitor with a special glimpse of Africa as she was – untouched, unspoilt and unforgettable.

The main living and dining areas is furnished with comfortable seating, beautiful botanical print cushions,and African inspired art works.

The deck extends over the lagoon, to make the most of armchair game viewing, outdoor dining, and a shady place to relax by the swimming pool.

Mfuwe Lodge has 18 luxury, air -conditioned, en suite thatched chalets, with convertible beds, see through trellidors opening onto their own private decks with game viewing opportunities.

The Directors House house has two adjoining rooms with a private garden and swimming pool.

The Phil Berry Centre is situated in a secluded area of the garden near the infamous Wild Mango Tree. The air conditioned library and studio offer a quiet relaxing space to read, edit photos or to have small group get togethers.

Game drives and walks are conducted by an experienced and knowledgeable team of guides.
The lodge also boasts a Bush Spa where a range of relaxing and healing African therapies are provided.

Flatdogs Camp – alternate

Flatdogs camp offers a mix of accommodations right next to the South Luangwa NP. The luxurious Crocodile Nest is a two bed-roomed tented house with private pool, which comes with a private vehicle and guide. The wilder Jackalberry Treehouse is a two bed-roomed, open-fronted reed house built on platforms around four live Ebony trees, over-looking a game rich waterhole. The chalets suit families perfectly as they feel more solid and the kids can walk through to their parents’ room without having to go outside. The luxury tents are spread out along the riverbank and are the “Africa under canvas” experience, often with elephant browsing around them and hippo grazing just outside. The standard tents are just a little smaller but still with full en-suite facilities.

The food at Flatdogs is renowned in the safari world as they have an a la carte restaurant serving a wide range of delicious & creative meals catering to all diets and needs.

Safaris are led by expert guides who have studied all facets of the natural world. They can explain in detail the inter-locking ecology of the Park and use nature’s alarm calls to find interesting sightings for guests rather than following the herd!

Sundowners on the Zambezi River are an essential start to a holiday in Victoria Falls. Each day the HMV Makumbi, the party boat of note, departs from the Waterfront jetty for a sunset cruise up the Zambezi, that includes all drinks and snacks, returning as night falls.

Recently completely rebuilt, Camp Moremi is located within Botswana’s world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve, situated on the edge of the Xakanaxa Lagoon in an area known for its spectacular game-viewing opportunities

Game drives conducted in open 4×4 vehicles in the morning and late afternoons, offer excellent game viewing including frequent sightings of lion, leopard and cheetah as well as wild dog. Alternatively, guest can explore the Xakanaxa Lagoon and surrounding Okavango channels by boating safari.
